Simple ACIM is operated by Art & Tech Awaken LLC (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at contact@simpleacim.com.

These terms are between you and us. They are not an agreement with Course in Miracles Society. Payments are taken by Paddle on the web and by Apple or Google in the apps, and each of them has its own terms that apply to that payment.

You must be 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms with you.

You can create an account with an email and password, or sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been used without your permission.

You can ask us to close your account and delete it at any time.

Reading the Original Edition is free, and so are the basic practice tools and the basic Listen narration. Our licence requires that: no subscription, purchase or membership is ever needed to read the Course itself. The free tier also includes a monthly allowance of AI requests and summaries.

A Supporter membership and the optional narration voices are paid. On this website they are sold to you by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which is the merchant of record — Paddle is the seller for that purchase and its buyer terms apply to it alongside these. In the iOS and Android apps, purchases are billed by Apple or Google instead.

A membership renews automatically for the same period, at the price shown before you confirm, until you cancel. If you bought it here, cancel from Membership in your settings, which opens your billing portal. If you bought it in an app, cancel in that store’s settings — not here. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the period you have already paid for runs out.

Narration voices are a one-off purchase and not a subscription. They do not renew, and what you buy stays yours.

Refunds. If you bought here, write to contact@simpleacim.com within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full through Paddle. After 14 days, write to us anyway and we will look at it. If you bought through Apple or Google, only they can refund you, under their own policies — we cannot do it for them.

Donations are voluntary, are not a purchase of anything, and are not refundable. Prices and what a plan includes can change; we will tell you before a change affects a renewal.

The Course text in this app is licensed to us by CIMS, not sold to you. You get a personal, non-commercial right to read it inside the app.

AI-generated summaries, commentary, interpretations, and responses within this application are independently generated and do not represent official interpretations, teachings, opinions, or endorsements of Course in Miracles Society (CIMS). CIMS licenses the use of A Course in Miracles – Original Edition within this application but is not responsible for AI-generated content or guidance.

AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or at odds with the Course. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a crisis line rather than the Companion.

Do not put information into the Companion that you would not want processed by a third-party model provider. See the privacy policy for who those providers are.

We may limit, meter, or change the AI features to keep them affordable and safe.

Your notes, highlights, journal entries and questions stay yours. You give us only the permission needed to store, sync and display them back to you, and to pass your questions to the model provider that answers them. We do not publish your writing, and we do not sell it.

Do not break the app, probe it for weaknesses, resell access to it, impersonate anyone, or use it to harass or harm. Do not use the Companion to generate material that is unlawful or that misrepresents CIMS or the Course.

We may add, change, or remove features, and the app may be unavailable at times. If our license to the Original Edition ends, the reading section will be removed from the app — an outcome the license contemplates and we cannot avoid.

The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing here promises a spiritual outcome.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as they may.

You may stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms; where the breach can be fixed, we will say so and give you a reasonable chance to fix it first.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes belong to the state or federal courts located in Yavapai County, Arizona, and you and we agree to that venue.

If we change these terms materially, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version. Questions: contact@simpleacim.com
